Cooler tools that show their work
Five free tools for Grand Valley swamp cooler owners. Each one says where its numbers come from: NOAA climate normals for Grand Junction, Department of Energy guidance, or plain physics with the assumptions labeled. None of them sizes a cooler, sets a price or sends you onto the roof.

What these tools will not do
No sizing calculator
Sizing a cooler needs manufacturer data and a look at the house. A web form would have to guess, so this site does not offer one.
No prices
Only someone who sees the cooler can price it. Ask for a written price with the parts named.
No roof or electrical steps
Every check is from inside the house or the ground. Roof, cabinet and wiring work is for a technician.
No permit verdicts
Permit questions go to Mesa County Building or the City of Fruita. The tools say where to ask, not what they will say.
Safety first. Roof work, the inside of the cooler cabinet and anything electrical are jobs for a cooler technician. Every check on this site is done from inside the house or standing on the ground. Nothing here asks you to climb a ladder, open the cabinet or touch wiring. If you see smoke, sparking or fire, get everyone out and call 911.

One form covers repair, startup, winterizing and replacement. Photos from the ground or from inside help.
